I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I assess how all areas of life are connected and teach you how to use food as medicine.
My crystal clear program concentrates not only on nutrition, but how relationships, career, physical activity and spirituality are related to eating, sleeping and stress levels. I develop customized programs to achieve optimal weight, reduce food cravings and maximize energy. I help clients develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that best support them, while implementing gradual, lifelong healthy habits.
Health and wellness has been my passion since I can remember. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis when I was 5 years old; this is a disease not usually prevalent until people are in their 30’s. With this diagnose came some diet restrictions. I was also told by my doctors I’d have to take medicine every day for the rest of my life. In my teens, I started experimenting with my diet and my digestion tract loved it. I finally realized that I could change the path I was on by implementing small changes and by age 18, I was officially off the medicine I had taken every day since I was 5 years old.
For me, changing my diet had an immense effect on my everyday life. The doctors, not to fault them as their training was not in nutrition or preventative health measures, never mentioned the benefits of eating clean and other healthy habits. My new lifestyle including nutrition, activity levels, and greatly how I handle stress has me on a healthy path for life. It is my goal and passion to educate and teach as many people as possible about incorporating healthy habits for life that will allow them to live longer and healthier lives.
